This villa has been featured on TV’s “My Place in the Sun” – in a program which the current owners watched in the UK, prompting them to make their first visit to the island and purchase the property together with the surrounding land. Over a number of years the property was lovingly restored and two further villas, all with private space and access, were added. The latest improvement, new for summer 2017, is the addition of a deluxe four-seater spa bath where guests can relax and take in the views – this is exclusive to Villa Branca and is privately situated.
Set within the hillside village of Gaula, which is about 5kms from Santa Cruz, the elevated position allows stunning sea views over the bay of Abra, towards the Desertas Islands and to Ponto Sao Lorenço, the eastern tip of Madeira. With a private balcony for the master bedroom, there is a large terraced area and mature gardens surrounding the villa, there is ample choice of seating and relaxing areas – ideal for al-fresco dreaming, drinking and dining!
The villa is fully equipped, with everything you would expect for self-catering accommodation, and is comfortably furnished, offering you a real home from home on this magic island of Madeira. Villa Branca is licensed for tourism under the strictly-regulated Madeiran ‘Alojemente Locale’ scheme (AL). The scheme requires holiday villas to conform to high safety, quality, service and insurance standards. Mosquito nets are fitted to all bedroom windows. There is a free high-speed Wi-Fi internet connection.
This villa can be rented together with the other villas on-site (one has a large pool), making it ideal for related families or groups of friends (walkers or golfers for example) who wish to holiday together but who would like their own separate, self-contained accommodation.
